At the beginning of this year, I started hearing about this ‘DARK WINTER,’ that was suppose to come to a certain group of people. It actually came right out of the mouths, of not only the press, but the person who holds the highest position in our land, the president.
It was then that the HOLY SPIRIT spoke to me, and told me that there were corporate curses being placed on people here in the U.S. This was something that I had never considered before.....’corporate curses,’ coming against, not individuals, but GROUPS OF PEOPLE.
A few days later, I talked to a dear brother in the LORD. He told me that there was livestock, BOTH his and around the area where he lives, that had died mysteriously....unlike ever before! Both he and I agreed that it sounded like a 'curse' come upon the land them in some form.
There are many kinds of CURSES that can come, and wreck havoc on people’s lives. There are generational curses, words curses, self-proclaimed curses,witchcraft curses and sin-related curses.
In this blog, I want to address a WORD CURSE that can be placed upon you from known and unknown sources. Many times these curses are not intentional in nature, but still are spoken against you.
If one is walking in the SPIRIT, confessing their sins daily, and submitting themselves to the LORD, most curses will not ‘stick’ or cause trouble. We can see this principle in Proverbs 26:2:
“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.”
However, if we are walking in the FLESH, and not in the SPIRIT, we CAN open the door for a curse to take hold. I believe that strong emotions, such as FEAR, ANXIETY, STRESS, DEPRESSION, DESPAIR, HOPELESSNESS, ANGER, RESENTMENT, BITTERNESS, REJECTION, HURT FEELINGS, etc., also are DOOR OPENERS for curses to land on you. If you are walking in ANY strong ‘emotions,’ then your are definitely walking IN THE FLESH! Seek the HOLY SPIRIT to guide and show you if your heart is being weighed down by any strong emotion, then 'close the door,' through repentance and the filling of the SPIRIT.
WHAT IS A CURSE?
A curse is something that is said out loud about a person with a negative connotation.....minor or severe. Whether on purpose or not, words have POWER to either BLESS OR CURSE. (James 3:8-10)
A curse can even be said in humor, or just in a kidding way.....but it still can have a STING, as well as CONSEQUENCES behind it....and can spiritually ‘stab’ a person in their back.
Our tongues are very powerful weapons, that can get out of control very quickly. (James 3:5-6) For example, instead of blessing our children or spouses, we easily can say things that can bring curses upon them. That is why in Romans 12:14 it says that we to BLESS everyone, even our enemies!!
Then there are curses that are said with the power of WITCHCRAFT OR JEZEBEL behind them. These can be very dangerous, both physically and emotionally, and need to dealt with through spiritual warfare.
In dealing with a curse, it is important to identify its source, and what kind it is.
To recognize a curse, you will need the HELP of the HOLY SPIRIT’s discernment. One clue that you might be 'under' a curse of some sort, is to notice that the same bad thing keeps happening to you over and over again. Whether it be sicknesses, accidents, things breaking, continually bad relationships, spiritual hindrances, or financial difficulties....these can have their roots from a curse.
Not only can people put a curse on you, but we can put ones on ourselves by our own personal SINS. In Deuteronomy 27 it lists the sins that will bring a curse upon you, such as:
IDOLATRY
DISHONORING PARENTS
FORNICATION
ADULTERY
ALL SEXUAL SINS
CHILDREN CONCEIVED OUT OF WEDLOCK
FORSAKING THE LORD
HOW TO GET RID OF CURSES
Once you have identify the source, and the kind of curse that is harassing you,then you can start dealing with it.
STEPS TO TAKE:
1) Pray and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to come to direct and help you. Ask for HIM to reveal any OPEN DOORS that need to be confessed.
2) Humble and Submit yourself before the LORD
3) Confess all known sins, including renouncing any sin of witchcraft, rebellion, or any involvement in any kind of occult.
4) Forgive all those who have offended, hurt you.....BLESS THEM!
5) Plead and claim the BLOOD OF JESUS over you, and all that belongs to you
6) Bless your enemies or those who have come against you
7) IF you are lead, speak in tongues
8) Use your SWORD, which is the WORD: PROCLAIM, DECLARE. AND COME INTO AGREEMENT WITH THESE VERSES:
9) DO SPIRITUAL WARFARE: (this is an example/outline to use....feel free to add or subtract, as the LORD leads)
I have been given ALL AUTHORITY over ALL the power of the enemy, to trample upon the scorpions and serpents and nothing shall harm me. (Luke 10:19) I take that AUTHORITY that has been give to me, and trample on ALL CURSES that have been sent to me. I cut off their heads and tails, and throw them under the feet of JESUS permanently.
I now stand on the WORD OF GOD, and proclaim that JESUS died on the cross and became a CURSE for me, so that I may partake in the BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM, according to Galatians 3:13. I take the curse of ___________________ that has been plaguing and harassing me, and I REBUKE ,and SEVER it off of me now.
In the authority of the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I now erase this curse, with the precious BLOOD of MY LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS, and declare it NULL AND VOID and PERMANENTLY DISABLED.
I have asked forgiveness for all my sins, and so I now SLAM SHUT and CLOSE ALL DOORS where the corresponding demons of this curse has entered. In the name NAME OF JESUS, I now RESIST these demons and command them to FLEE from me now and permanently based on James 4:7, that says:
“Submit yourself to GOD, and the devil HAS TO FLEE!”
I INVOKE and DECLARE declare Isaiah 54:17 that says:
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord."
I also invoke and declare Matthew 18:18, that states whatever is LOOSE on earth, shall be LOOSE in heaven. So I now LOOSE and RELEASE myself, as well as break off, rebuke, resist, sever, cut off, all curses spoken against me from any tongue. This includes all condemnations, all accusations, all bad feels, emotions and insults against me!
I now declare that JESUS CHRIST came to set me FREE and I PROCLAIM that I am NOW FREE indeed!
10) END WITH PRAYER:
Heavenly FATHER, LORD JESUS and HOLY SPIRIT, thank you for the authority that you have given me to wipe out all power from the enemy, including all curses, witchcraft, sorcery and Jezebel spirits!
I now come before YOU, and ask, HOLY SPIRIT, for YOU to come and fill me in all the places that the enemy has tried to destroy or defile me. Fill every 'nook and cranny' of my body, mind, emotions, soul and spirit.
JESUS, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, and for your PRECIOUS BLOOD. I plead and claim the BLOOD OF JESUS on me now. Thank you that I have become an over-comer by your BLOOD. (Revelation 12:11)
Heavenly FATHER, I ask for your blessings to now be upon me, and for your favor to surround me as a shield!
I praise YOUR HOLY NAME!! Your alone are worthy of all praise, honor, glory, wisdom, power and might!! AMEN and AMEN
