Notice that the Ozarks are not in the flood zone. One of the maps on that same page show the Ozarks as an island. We are at a higher altitude than all the surrounding area and especially the Mississippi river valley. See all my maps on that same listing above.

We want to be self sufficient. Not needing commercial, outside water or electricity or security system, or septic systems. Since our land was ranch land when we bought it, we had to build our own roads and bridges (we have 7 creeks and 1 river). We drilled our own wells... over 30 of them. We have our own contractors who are building dozens of homes. They range in size from 400 sq ft to 3,000. You can build whatever you can afford. Over 60% of our land is tree covered, mostly deciduous. It takes the right land in the right area, and the right people to make all this happen. And I assure you, it took a divine vision and calling to bring all this together. In short, God did it. We used the "Intentional Neighbor" approach to Christian Community. DEFINING THE INTENTIONAL NEIGHBOR CONCEPT Our concept of Community is called “Intentional Neighbors”. The “intentional neighbor” concept provides an opportunity for like-minded people to own adjacent land, and provide mutual aid to our neighbors without obligation or managers. In this housing development on thousands of acres, you own your land and hold the deed. You will have no boss, leader, or mandatory denominational doctrines. Community Members remain autonomous. You will enjoy the pride of ownership and the luxury of sharing common areas that allow neighbors to have peace of mind. Various churches, social groups, and home fellowships can develop and flourish. Cults, movements, and control freaks cannot take over in such a strongly Bible-based, freedom and liberty-loving setting. It is inbound compounds that turn into self-serving cults, and history shows us this should be avoided. This intentional neighbor concept rolls two different community concepts into one, (1) Christian Community, and (2) conventional housing developments broken up into several subdivisions, with street names and 911 addresses. As in any housing development, we have a flourishing diversity of races, languages, and Bible-based understanding. As with all housing developments, ours will build and maintain its own infrastructure of roads and wells, etc. JESUS DEFINED THE INTENTIONAL NEIGHBOR CONCEPT WE US IN ROMANS 12 AND MATTHEW 22 Our success as a community will rest heavily on believing and practicing what Jesus commanded us to do in these verses. In them Jesus said all Christians are one body and are all neighbors. Loving our neighbor as ourselves is not just a nice saying. These verses make it clear that that is what Jesus requires of us. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office; so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. (Romans 12:5 KJV) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22: 36- 40 KJV). Our unity is all the more compelling in knowing we are on the cusp of the last days. We are in dire need to be dedicated to preparing as Jesus/Yeshua instructed us to do.
