Is a safe haven simply any home where we are preparing and putting God first and praying for His protection when things get really bad? My husband and I have long felt called to create exactly such a safe place, where our children (and others) can come for safety, where we can preserve books and knowledge through dark times. Our paths parted (before we were married) and we were brought back together by what we can only call supernatural miracles. We are now on 30 acres and spending the winter learning what we can about gardening, farming fish, and raising animals. And of course we're praying.
