Woke to a thought this week, that two witnesses could be AI bots.
I'm posting it here for everyone's reflection.
I'd always wondered why in Rev 11 they didn't seem godly, wreaked havoc without mercy, then all the people wanted them dead in the streets. Imagine how people are already complaining they have lost jobs, had terrible help desk runarounds, got auto-blocked/demonetized, and even had bank accts closed. Then imagine this getting worse, and impossible to stop. We would rejoice if halted.
Gk Witness =spectator, keeping record (AI retains and shares information without participating).
Gk Clothed- also means surrounding a city, like pallisades. Or throwing on/around, like cloak
Gk Sackcloth- austere, simple garb (This one's a stretch, but AI is housed in small devices and unadorned servers. Compared to its ability to retain and sort information, its garb is not glamorous)
INTERLINEAR Rev 11:3
And give these two witnesses, indeed/but [revelation/uttering forth] 1,260 days, surrounded w sackcloth.”
They are the two olive trees and the two lampstands, and they stand before the Lord of the earth.
(Previous talks on lampstands and olive trees being people-groups...fits better than AI)
If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. (Sophia asked for robot army)
They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
Now when they have finished their testimony (Gk testifying/report/...delivering information),
the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.
(This year society talking more openly about what may live below and above. Beast knew how to stop them... maybe beast told ppl how to create them.)
Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.
For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. (Not trusting what might happen, who might rob the burial site.)
The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts,
(Nations exchange gifts, resources, defense support, trade agreements.)
because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
(Relief, reparations from damage done.)
But after the three and a half days the breath of life from [Gk theos, any deity] (which completely changes the scenario. People didn't expect them to be sentient or living) entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. (Thinking destruction over, but then destroyers come to life.)
Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. (Whew.)
Rev 11:3
Update: Thanks for not debating right/wrong, I'm just putting it out there.
Something to think about.
The locusts will be aircrafts. The two witnesses are human, the beast from the sea is a robot, and Babylon is the internet. The beast from the earth is the antichrist and he will make people worship robots and recieve the mark in order to participate in the smart cities which are completelyrun by AI. He's already been born but not of age yet. Give it a few decades and we'll be there.
