This is in response to prayer I brought before the Lord this morning. I went to a bible study on Wednesday and one of the ladies there shared that she was in a dry spell and was not hearing from the Lord or in her dreams. She talked about a recent book or teaching that she was referring to that she hoped would help. I wanted to blurt out "I was there only a year ago and I can HELP!" Since my husband and I are new to this church I left my phone number and let her know that I had some encouraging, edifying information for her. I prayed for the right way to share this with her and this is what HE gave me. So far she has not responded so I didn't want to waste it.

The things you learn from "other" teachings such as sermons, books, videos, conferences etc. are just an appetizer or maybe even a salad. The main course is served up HOT from the Bible through the greatest teacher of all, HIS Holy Spirit. Too many of us think we are "full" and stop short of the real meal, the "meat, the main course. Later as we grow in HIM daily, we are blessed with the sweetness of the dessert! There are no short cuts nor is there a special book besides the Bible to get to know HIM and learn to serve HIM with your whole heart. Come to HIS table "famished" and partake the the ENTIRE meal so that you may be truly satisfied!

This is how I learned to hear his voice just like everyone else, spending time with HIM IN WORD, WORSHIP AND PRAYER!
