this is dream number two - it was night time. I was at a social event which could have been a church gathering - there were adults and children, and a very pleasant atmosphere. but I noticed that on the ground, there were tortoises with no shells, and there were empty shells, with no tortoises in them. neither the people nor the tortoises seemed very bothered by this, the tortoises seemed to think they were fine, and the people took no notice. I began to pick up the tortoises and try to put them into their shells, and I asked people to help me, but everyone just carried on enjoying themselves, almost as if they didn't see me or hear me. that was the end of the dream.
as it was a strange dream, I asked for a confirmation. a couple of days later, you put out a dream of yours (Elizabeth) about a tortoise. I then asked for the meaning, and got the scriptures psalm 91, john 15v4-10, and jeremiah 29v13. my interpretation is that some of us may think we are abiding in Christ, but we are only scratching the surface. we must fully abide in him in order to have his protection (psalm 91); the law does not save us, but the commandments show us right from wrong (john 15) - we live in a world where things contrary to his word are not only condoned but are encouraged and legalized, and we must obey him first, not men; the great commission is not optional; there are consequences to not abiding in him (john 15). this was a warning to all of us of the importance of close relationship with and obedience to Jesus.
The tortoise shell' is the tortoise's armor. So in the this dream, the tortoises were vulnerable and unprotected. This is how many Christians are.....the do not have on the full armor of GOD.
