I dreamed two evenings ago that I was at an American Idol concert. Kelly Clarkson was headlining, and I was pushing my way to the front of the crowd to take pictures and show everyone how close we were. I remember saying those exact words in my dream. "I have to show everyone how close we are"...

Upon leaving, I returned to a home that was not mine. Some kind of disaster (unknown what kind) had happened, and I knew that my son and grandmother had been taken to a holding facility. I looked to the right and there was a raging river with people caught in it. These people we being swept away, holding on for life by logs. I entered the home, and began cleaning up, because I had to do this before I could go get my family out of the holding facility. I was with a group of people and we had fire extinguishers. As we walked through the home, it was very messy and full of objects that kept bursting into flames one at a time, and as we sprayed them with our extinguishers, they would flare back up in a flame and it took 3 or 4 times spraying them to put out the fire. As I was waking up, still half asleep, I heard a voice say "Pain. Torment. Is there no more longing for me?"

A couple things:

American Idol concert - This crowd represented the idol worship America has in this day and age for almost everything except God. As a nation, we love our cell phones, reality TV, and celebrities far more than walking righteously.

Kelly Clarkson - When researching, I found that in Irish, this name actually means war. I believe my taking a picture to show people how close we were was representative of warning people of the war soon coming. This was unclear as to if the war was referring to a nation vs. nation war, civil war, or war we as believers will soon be facing through persecution.

Raging river with people clinging onto logs - The river was the turmoil and distress going on as a judgment for the idolatry, and the people clinging to the Logs represented believers caught in this turmoil who are going to be blindsided by the situation, and forced to face their own hypocrisy and sin that they have not yet dealt with. (Matthew 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.)

The home with objects on fire that could not easily be put out - This represents the deep rooted evil that surrounds us all. It was the purifying spirit of god showing me what needed cleansed in this house, as only random objects would spontaneously burst into flames, and with the fire extinguisher only, I was able to conquer the fires so that the entire house did not go up in flames.

Fire Extinguisher - The power we all have to conquer both sin in our own lives and spiritual battles that will arise through the armor of God. This single handily protects us and gives us all the fighting power that we need.

As a nation (world in general) we are so distracted with our foolish idols of money, material things, movies, music, and all around fun stuff, that a majority of the population is putting these things first, where God SHOULD BE. "Pain. Torment. Is there no more longing for me?"... This is how our savior feels. Loving this world promises us nothing but pain and torment. We are longing to fill our hearts and minds with worthless idols that are enjoyable for a time, but forgetting to fill our time and hearts with the one who truly matters... Jesus. He is craving his people to turn back to him. This is not just a message for the sleeping church and unbelievers. This is something for all of us to remember. As believers we are still in the world everyday. We must discipline ourselves to be able to not waste these precious last moments of time that we have on the worthless pastimes of the world. Spend this time in scripture and in prayer, readying yourselves physically AND spiritually, and most of all, armor up. Be ready to help those who are going to need our help learning how to arm themselves when it is all they have left. Peace be with you all, brothers and sisters! Have a good night.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
