I had these dreams years ago and I cant get them off my mind lately.
Election/unrest dream
I had this in summer of 2016.
I was driving to a patients house down a familiar part of Jacksonville (I'm a hospice home nurse). I was listening to the radio and was ecstatic to learn that Trump just won the election against non other than Hillary. The results had not been announced until middle of the next day after the election.
Driving down main street there were several people with signs protesting and many others just lying around on the ground because I had a sense they were out of jobs and had nothing to do. The landscape was bleak because this familiar street looked like it had been more built up (economic prosperity) and then torn down as many properties were either boarded up or looked as if they had been burned/gutted (these building were business type building).
Traffic was flowing fine past the protestors/people lying on the street but I then opened my glove box to make sure my gun was there. These were dangerous times! Really the dream ended at this point.
Graduation dream
This dream I had years ago when I was in college I believe.
I could see and was standing in a long line of graduates outside in a parking lot of a high school. We were excited to finally graduate from high school. As I got up closer to a large round dais where we were to receive our diplomas I was horrified! None of us were told about this and were caught by suprise. On top of the dais to one side sat an enormous black dragon with saliva dripping from its mouth and a snarled look of hate on its face!
Each student had to stand on the dais individually while the rest of us watched. I saw a student get on the dais and bow down to the dragon. After that he stepped off stage and was congratulated by waiting staff and given his diploma. I didn't see it but I knew that if a student did not bow down then the dragon would then kill the student and devour him completely! At this point everyone had a choice and getting out of line was not an option!
Thanks for the comments. It hard to leave that corporate world but everything is possible through Christ if people feel called to leave. Trust me it's not easy! We had to give up a very exciting life as we would basically take a vacation once a month. This is not what God has called us to do! Many people at my church my age do the same and have annual passes to disney/universal in Orlando to take their kids. We only live a few hours away and with the money we were paying on passes felt like we had to go once a month. So far we found life is much better without all the stuff to distract us from God. We drive old cars and are selling our too expensive home and we are very happy. Although it took a while to get out of that mind set!
