In my dream I saw a giant cruise ship with many layers. It was larger than any cruise ship on earth and the ship was filled with many people. Everyone one was having fun, being entertained, eating and partying. There was much going on. This was happening on a large scale in all the levels of the ship. My wife and I were there too, but suddenly I knew it was time to get out from the midst of all this worldly amusement. It was the appointed time to separate.
We climbed the stairs up level after level until we reached the top platform under the blue sky. There was a white fence on that top platform. I knew we were supposed to find the entrance and go inside that fenced area. We searched for the entrance and we found it. However, there were 3 or 4 people standing at the entrance with a list. If your name is not on that list you were not allowed to enter. They searched the list for our names, and we were found. They gave us permission to enter through the gate.
Once I realized how narrow that entrance was, wow, I was really surprised. I thought we could just walk inside, but that was not the case. It was a very narrow entrance and we had to squeeze through tightly. Once we made it through I saw many, many white chairs everywhere. There were also people sitting in some of the chairs. However, many of the chairs were vacant. I believe it was the majority of them.
Everyone knew it was time. I don't remember if they were looking up into the sky, but we certainly knew Jesus was coming back. They prepared themselves for the wedding supper of the Lamb instead of being entangled in the distractions being offered in the lower levels of the ship.
But they joy of being there was also subdued. Why where all those chairs vacant? So many of them?
I knew in my heart, that many had been called to come and take their seats, but they were unable to separate themselves from the pleasures in the lower levels.
That was my dream to the best of my memory.
The interpretation is rather clear. The cruise ship represents the world, and the process of separation and the journey to the top level / fenced area represents our race in Christ.
But the tragedy of all those empty chairs is something very saddening. Indeed, we are called to remain busy and be a light as we draw others even to the very moment He returns. Even so, let everything that has breath praise the name of the Lord.
WOW.....that was an amazing dream!! Very sad, though about the lukewarm Christians that will not make it
