I woke up early this morning with a word about provision coming and that it was for the purpose of spreading the Gospel. When I woke up the second time a few hours later, I heard a word about God multiplying milk. Though I do believe God has miraculous provision of real milk for some people in need, including the healing of mothers who have not had enough breast milk to feed their babies, I also believe this relates to sharing the basics of our faith which are listed in Hebrews 6, which are repentance from dead works, faith towards God, doctrine of baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement. After sharing this with with my wife Carrie, she told me about a dream she had related to us climbing 7 spiral stairs at the direction of an angel who was driving a Cadillac Escalade, then a few more straight stairs, and entering a large investment firm to make a withdrawl. After her dream, she checked our bank balance, and found that funds that were not originally scheduled to arrive in our account until later this week, had already come in...so this has given us the means to stay in the hotel for another couple of days. Praise God for this installment, and we pray we will use these next two days to share what the Lord has put in our hearts to share in Jesus' name and for God's Glory!!! As I have already stated earlier today, the LORD gave me a couple words, which indicated that I was to begin to share the simplicity of the Gospel...the "MILK of the WORD", as it relates to Hebrews 6:1-3. With that in mind, I would like to start with the first of those 6 basic principles of our faith, which is, "REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS". To begin, I'd like to ask you a couple of question. Do we only preach Jesus as Savior, or do we also preach Him as LORD? What does LORD mean? It means, "MASTER, OWNER, and SUPREME IN AUTHORITY)! Paul, in giving his defence to King Agrippa, states in Acts 26:20, "I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, AND ALSO TO THE GENTILES, that ALL must REPENT OF THEIR SINS and turn to God—and PROVE THEY HAVE CHANGED by the GOOD THINGS THEY DO" (NLT). The NKJV puts it this way: “but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and DO WORKS befitting REPENTANCE. Now...are there any other places in New Testament where repentance is taught?John the Baptist states in Matthew 3:2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” Jesus states in Matthew 4:17 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 11:20 Then He (Jesus) began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: Jesus states in Mark 1:15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 6:12 Regarding the 12 Jesus sent out, it states "So they went out and preached that people should repent." Luke 13:3 and Luke 13:5 “I (Jesus) tell you (the multitudes), no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 17:4 Jesus to Peter “And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,' you shall forgive him.” Acts 2:38 to the multitude gathered from every nation on the day of Pentacost Peter states, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts3:19 to the multitude gathered from every nation on the day of Pentacost Peter states, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" Acts 8:22 Peter to Simon the sorceror after Simon thought he could buy the ability to impart the Holy Spirit with money, “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. Acts 17:30 Paul to the men of Athens states “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent" Revelation 2:5 God to the Church at Ephesus states through John, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. Revelation 2:16 God to the Church at Pergomus through Paul states, “Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. Revelation 2:21-23 God to the Church at Thyatira through Paul states, “And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works." Revelation 3:3 God to the Church as Sardis through John states, “Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. Revelation 3:19 God to the Church at Leodeciea through Paul John states “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Revelation 9:20-21 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. Revelation16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. Revelation 16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. In these last of the last days we are living in, we all really need to examine ourselves, and ask the Lord to show us what sins we are committing, and where we need to repent. May we pray for you concerning anything? Do you need help overcoming any sin in your life? We are not here to condemn you, but rather, to help you walk free from that which has bound you. Be richly blessed in Jesus' name and for God's Glory!!
