Math 24:32-34
"Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
If we were to start at the birth of Israel and add seventy years: 1948 +70 = 2018. Then we should expect Jesus to return this year!! I hoped and believed many years ago that Jesus would return for his church in the rapture much sooner than 2018, before I had this dream...
This dream may have happened around 1999-2000. I was reading the Bible from cover to cover at the time.
In a dream one night, an old man abruptly came right up to me out of no where. He was very short, with a long greying beard. I lived in southern California near the coast at the time. Just then, a bubble shaped flying car wised by us headed towards the coastal ocean. It had short stubby wings on its side, similar to the one in this picture, but not exactly.
He indicated that a generation is no longer 70 years as some believe from reading the Bible. This generation would be longer due to the increase in the longevity of human life. Scientific breakthroughs will increase human life, thus increasing the length of a generation.
(Psalm 90:10).
Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty.
I don't know how long this generation will live to, but it is common knowledge now that scientists are working on "The Fountain of Youth" breakthroughs. Our President has enacted that these medical cures be brought to the public.
My opinion:
If people are still being saved, then why would the "fruit be harvested" while it is still green? A farmer would wait just before his crop starts dying off to get the best, fullest harvest possible...
As the time gets near, the Bible says these will be the most 'trying' times in human history. So we must be vigilant and grow in Christ. Some of us won't make it to the end...
I always heard that a generation is twenty years. The way you are using the word generation, to me, implies maximum lifespan of a person, not really a human generation.
I have long pondered the fig tree verse. Notice that it says the generation will not pass away. That means to die off. Therefore we should use the lifespan in the Bible, 120 years as a maximum for the fig tree verse. Personally I believe it will come before then, but i also know much must transpire before God's wrath.
