By internal locution I heard the words, “LAUDATE DOMINUM”. Angels praise the Lord God ceaselessly. Let us learn from the angels and increase our prayers of praise daily. During the Time of Tribulation, our Lord strengthens and feeds our souls as we glorify Him. Praise helps us to remember our identities as God’s children and puts us into right relationship with our Heavenly Father.
After the Lord saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, Moses and the Israelites sang a song of praise to Lord: “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him” (Exodus 15:2). PRAISE OF GOD BRINGS STRENGTH AND SALVATION.
Later King David sang, “Let me live that I may praise you” (Psalm 119:175). PRAISE AND LIFE ARE INTERCONNECTED. PRAISE OF GOD IS AN ESSENTIAL LIFE PURPOSE.
In the time of the apostles, St. Paul wrote that we who hope in Christ exist for “the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 15:12). Christians as believers are marked in Christ with the seal of the Holy Spirit until our redemption as God’s possessions “to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 15:13-14). WE EXIST ON EARTH AND THEN ETERNALLY IN HEAVEN IN ORDER TO PRAISE GOD.
One of my favorite spiritual warfare verses is about singing:
' Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. ' 2 Chronicles 20:22
