What defines a false prophet? Does a false prophet know there a false prophet? I have had dreams come true, and than There are the dreams where I think its a direct explanation for example my recent one was about a meteor hitting and than I heard the 27-28th and I assumed it was this this month. Well I did share the dream but I was sceptical if it would really happen so I also said to go to God with what I said. No meteor hit as far as I know but a 7.5 earthquake hit in the near general area. So was I speaking falsely? Or did I just not understand what it all means? Im thinking meteor hiting was used as a metaphor for disaster and I just didn't understand. I am vary fearful of God even to the point of severe panic attacks because I know false prophets where to be stoned or killed and God does not tolerate something like this. So am I a false prophet? I have been praying about it if I should stop all together sharing any sort of dream or vision on here or to people in person. Now I should also write that a woman im interested in is sceptical of what I told her so far, me dieing in a bike crash and going to Heaven, being attacked by visible demons, being nearly abducted multiple times, haveing strange lights in the sky spy on me and directly interact with me via it being a attack. I haven't even told her about the meteorite dreams and other dreams. I know Scripture says to test the spirits so its good that she is, and I know satan can give false dreams and visions ect, so Im questioning my self and testing my self I guess.

If you are honestly asking if you are a false prophet you are not.
We all get things wrong, and sometimes teach others is error.
False prophets however had godless motives, and intentionally deceive for power or profit.
False prophets are there with an agenda, in the current milieu this normally means one of two things.
Dogmatised preachers preaching a politically correct message to the detriment of truth. eg Multi faith clerics, LGBTQ apologists.
Power hungry preachers teaching a control or money gathering message.
eg prosperity preachers, official state church preachers.
A small note on the last two.
It is not inherently bad to be a 'prosperity preacher, God does provide for us, and this is scriptural. However there are megachurches based on a message of miracle tithes aka "give to me so God will give to you". If the preacher is more interested in lining his own pocket than preaching the Gospel something is wrong.
Official state churches are not inherently wrong either. There are plenty of men of God in the Catholic church, and the church doesn't have the power it once had, so the ambitious no longer gravitate towards state religion and we are mostly spared that particular corruption. That being said politicised state religion certainly exists. I can tell you for a flat fact that you cant rise to be a Church of England bishop without the 'correct' politics and that is normally diametrically opposed to godly teaching, and most in the CoE sadly now classify as dogmatised preachers.
A better example however are the state churches in China. China does have 'freedom' of religion, but in China that means going to a communist party affiliated church. You will not get the gospel there. Free churches exist and are heavy persecuted.
If you look at the above there is a pattern, the message is normally either political, or self serving. Someone who is just honestly wrong doesn't land in the same bracket, though the dogmatised can swallow their own lies and start believing them, as is the case with a lot of woke preachers.
