Hello All!
Last night I had a vision of two pastors standing on a dias or a stage. I was looking down on them from a balcony and the floor opened up and the two men fell through.
I waited on the Lord and got this message "Health & Safety".
Has anyone had a similar vision or dream?
My first thought was the agreements between pastors and emergency response teams.
But looking at the dream itself, might pertain to OSHA (US) -- literal occupational health and safety standards. Employers have duty to ensure safety of their employees.
In your dream, the platform gave way. Whether that's symbolic vocal platform, such as the church/vid and web site...or the ability of the Church as a whole to maintain free speech and gathering.... the pastors went down with the platform, apparently bc of flaws in the platform.
In determination to use the platform, leaders might not have maintained it well enough to ensure it would stay intact.
We hear from the pulpits criticism of social issues, political bias -- so many may have broken IRS (US) standards for nonprofits. They wanted to speak out, but the stage wasn't made to support those topics.
Pastors fell through -- quite a few scandals unearthed lately, which removed (or should have) beloved leaders from their salaried positions. Abuse, silencing victims, covering scandals. Workplace was unsafe for children, for women, for anyone who speaks up.
The peak months of Cvd closed many churches, bankrupted others, compelled some pastors to defy standards and keep going as usual. Gathering might have exposed some employees and parishioners to virus, which is one of the OSHA inspection points -- biohazard. Providing PPE for every staff member is required (states, OSHA). Leaders might have broken state mandates for health and safety of staff and parishioners.
Psychosocial hazards -- could include toxic work culture, spiritual and occupational demands of keeping up a very visible ministry.
In vlogs, we've heard ex-staff report on high-strung speakers (verbal abusers) who demand unusual or limitless hours for unreasonable pay, or do not take time to meet with their staff.
Or leaders ask staff to clean their homes, do personal errands, without fair compensation. (While certain preachers take multiple streams of income from same org, traveling so often that they are rarely in the building.)
There are the myriad of volunteers in every church and ministry, who work for no pay. No ergo chairs or A/C. While fasting. Roomfuls of volunteer "prayer ministers" taking phone calls for donations.
Might also include physical injury from catching people as they fall "in the spirit".
Hearing loss from amplified services.
Carpal tunnel from worship team playing for hours on end.
All of these things add up to a weakened floor to stand on. They dug their own pits.
Side-by-side reflects the way current pastors team up to defend each other.
They fund each others' church plants, sit in each others' front rows to lend credibility; share sermons, buy each other suits with church expense accounts. (So they boast.)
You were in the balcony, a higher place than they were, but distanced. You held ethical high ground, while they held the microphone.
