I had a very unusual dream a couple of nights ago. I was the bride, but at the same time, I wasn't the bride. It was like, when I saw the bride, it physically was not me, but I knew what the bride was thinking and feeling, so then it seemed like it was me. I was getting ready for my ceremony and when I came out my dress was way to sheer, so sheer I had to take an extra step to cover certain private parts. I was carrying beautiful flowers which helped and were very vibrant and beautiful. My hair and make up was also very nicely done. I was getting ready to marry a man that I did not want to marry. Another man in the audience kept looking at me and I knew that I loved him and he loved me. The bridesmaids seemed somber and all had a similar dress on and they all were in a drab color. All the congregation kept looking at me and I kept walking towards the front. I woke up not knowing how to get out of the wedding ceremony.
Upon waking from my dream I immediately knew that the bride symbolized the church. The sheerness of the dress symbolized the vulnerability of the church and how easy she can be deceived. The beautiful and vibrant flowers symbolized the real truth that the bible teaches and how it stands out from the false doctrines. The brides maids in there bland dresses symbolize the many people who have become lukewarm in their walk with Christ. The people in the congregation looking at me symbolizes all the lost people looking for answers and searching for the truth, and the man in the congregation that I knew loved me was Jesus. He was waiting for me to return to him and make the decision to marry him and not the other man who really did not love me, nor I him.
I saw a clip from Joyce Meyer the other morning and she reminded me that people are watching. They watch all the time the way you are and the way you live your life. Sometimes people forget how your walk with Christ can have such a profound affect on others lives. Remember the saying "It's the little things" Well the little things add up to a bigger picture.
Jesus loves you and he wants his bride to choose him and his ways.
