In a flash dream vision, I saw a Muslim woman wearing a hijab scarf sitting on a step in the middle of a staircase. She wore glasses and looked confused to be where she was. Her husband was not with her. She was effectively a widow. This woman was not in her own home, but taking refuge for her life in the home of a Christian. Because of events she personally had nothing to do with, her people were suddenly being perceived as America’s enemies. Her family and others like them were being targeted.

Observing this scene confused me at first. I had false assumptions that the Lord was correcting for me. I had expected that some Christians would be providing safe haven for refugees from the cities and those persecuted who were Christians or of a Judeo-Christian background. I had not anticipated that Remnant Christians would be providing safe haven for some Muslims.

I asked Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus to explain why I received such a vision. They revealed to me that Christian disciples will be called to reach out to a host of peoples, and not to be surprised when the house guest arrives in an unexpected form. But frequently, the Lord will give advance notice of what kind of person will arrive by sending a dream, vision, word of knowledge or other confirmation.

Satan seeks to divide and conquer and to make enemies of all people. Yet the Lord Jesus told me that He loves and desires to save all people, especially the lost and those seeking Him without realizing it is Him they seek. “I have great love for those who know me as ‘Isa’, and I desire to bring them into closer relationship with me,” He told me. He also reminded me of God’s words through the prophet Isaiah: “Learn to do well: seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow” (Isaiah 1:17 KJV). Many Muslims, particularly women and widows, will come to Jesus because of Christian disciples who take them in. Jesus also drew my attention to the scripture, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:2 KJV).
