Voter Fraud
I had a dream last night that started off with me going out to vote. After voting I had this paranoia that my vote hadn't counted so I went back to ask them if there were records for my vote. They were pretty friendly and showed me that there were indeed no records of my vote being cast. Upon investigation I discovered that a person I know who has bad political views (imho) had somehow voted multiple times.
Church Corruption
After Church ended for some reason there weren't enough cars so half of the congregation (including myself) had to walk home (and for some reason we all walked together in the same direction). We all walked to McDonalds and they started buying food there. I told them making purchases on Sunday was against our religion, but they didn't care. They told me that McDonalds was giving out free sandwiches and surely I could at least take one of these, but I declined.
Side note:
In this part of the dream, I also was at a piano recital and was very worried because I wasn't prepared to play, not sure how relevant that is.
Power Grid
Later in the dream I was driving down the freeway and saw all around me that the powerlines looked like lit fuses. The electrical lines were all on fire and the fires were spreading down the lines as fire spreads downs a lit fuse. I remember seeing various regions of the city go dark once the power went out, but there was a large delay in this happening, some regions would look as if all of the power lines were on fire but the power still worked.
Leaving the City
I remember packing up with my family to leave the city since the power grid was collapsing. There was a specific region along the Texas Colorado river we were trying to get to but we didn't have a plan for what to do once we arrived.

Imagine how many electrical things society depends on.
Cell phones replaced landlines. Vehicle starters, and computerized electrical systems.
Internet, temperature control in houses, of course. Gas stations. Cryptocurrency.
We practiced staying home during pandemic. But I don't think we're ready to handle no sound input, no self-expression online.
Interesting to hear of groups not buying on Sundays. I remember that going on years ago, but didn't know there were still people holding to it. Nice that the concept of community Sabbath is respected.
