a tree of life and death

On March 18, 2018, I received another night vision. I saw a large tree in the middle of a large field standing all alone. Half of the tree was bushy with full, green leaves and healthy. The other side of the tree was completely dead. All the foliage was gone and the branches were completely bare.

The interpretation that the LORD showed me was this represented the Church.

The side of the tree that was still alive represents the healthy, growing and thriving BODY of BELIEVERS who are obedient to the LORD. They are bearing much fruit and walk in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. They get their nutrients and strength from their 'root' source, JESUS CHRIST. This side of the tree is the BRIDE of CHRIST.

The side that had dead branches represents the Church that is no longer grafted into the LORD JESUS. They have gone their own way and have, thus, died on the vine. They have stopped tapping into the living source of our LORD, and instead, have become self-sufficient, self-serving, self-righteous, self-seeking and proud. They once were fruitful, but, over time, allowed the world, idolatry, apostasy and are now “holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.” This is the last day, apostate Laodicea Church.

There are two passages that the LORD led me to that outlined some principles for each side of the tree: Jeremiah 17:8 and John 15:55-6.

Jeremiah 17:8 tells about a tree that is planted by the waters. JESUS is that living water that the tree gets its nourishment from. Therefore it its leaves remain fresh and green. This 'tree' will not fear or be anxious when the 'heat' and 'drought' of trials comes its way. It bears fruit from drawing its nutrients from source, JESUS CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT. This is the BRIDE OF CHRIST.

John 15:5-6 is a more familiar chapter about the vine and the branches. JESUS says that HE is the vine and that we (the Church) are the branches. If we remain fully attached to the vine (tree), then we will continue to bear the fruit of our labor. If we don't 'remain' attached to the vine, we will wither away, die and be cast into the fire---this is what will happen to the HARLOT CHURCH.

" I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you" John 15:1-3

The message that I believe that the LORD was trying to show me is that we need to stay FULLY attached to the VINE...the SOURCE....which is JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT. That means that we need to allow the power of the HOLY SPIRIT into our lives to help guide, direct, teach and comfort us.

If our SOURCE comes from HIM, then we must learn to ABIDE in HIM. That means spending quality time in HIS presence through prayer and worship.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. John 15:4

As we wait for HIS return, let us keep our branches alive and full of fresh, green leaves, ready to bear fruit and be productive for HIS KINGDOM!
