In the last few years, I have had many spiritual attacks that have affected my health. Through all of it, the LORD has taught me some important lessons that I would like to share. These are 'keys to the kingdom' that might help your present or future situation. Not all sickness is from the enemy or a spiritual attack, however, we are seeing an increase in demonic activity as we are in the last days. There are many in the body of CHRIST there are dealing with sickness and illnesses.
Here are 12 things that I have learned that might help you or someone you love:
1) MIRACLES: The LORD is still in the business of MIRACLES!! ! HE does these miracles to proclaim HIS great power, love and mercy. In my DREAM FORUM, under 'Testimonies,' you will read of a REAL MIRACLE that just occurred from the post of Arielle!
2) CONFESS all known sin and then ask the HOLY SPIRIT to reveal any unknown or hidden sins.
Sin is an open door for demonic influences to come in and attack our weaknesses. It gives him the legal permission to come and harass you. That is why the LORD instructs us to be pure and holy! HE knows the spiritual ramifications of these 'open doors.'
In the Book of John, JESUS told the invalid that HE healed to 'sin no more.' This suggests that, in this particular case, sin was the 'open door' to his infirmity.
"Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” John 5:14
3) DECLARE the WORD out loud! There is POWER in the WORD of GOD!
The FATHER is JEHOVAH RAPHA, which means 'The LORD your HEALER.' 'Rapha' is Hebrew and it means physician; cure; repair, heal; and to restore to normal! HE is our 'doctor' and HE is always open for business!!!
DECLARE THESE VERSES:
"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He saved them out of their distresses.
20 He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. " Psalms 107:19-20
"'My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh. " Proverbs 4:20-21
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
"He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26
4) DECLARE health upon your body and the areas of sickness. Receive this healing in faith even though it hasn't manifested yet! Don't get discouraged, if it doesn't happen right away! We must be persistent and not give up!
5) DECLARE the blood of JESUS CHRIST over your body and place of your sickness.
6) DECLARE that in your weakness, JESUS is strong!
"And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
7) DECLARE Matthew 18:18 by 'loosing' (releasing) the sickness from your body in the name of JESUS.
"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 18:18
8) ANOINT yourself with oil that has been consecrated to the FATHER, the LORD JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT.
"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord." James 5:14
9) CLAIM James 4:7:
--submit
--resist the devil and the sickness
--by FAITH command it to leave based on the WORD of GOD that you are standing on!
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
9) ASK the HOLY SPIRIT to show you what the 'root cause' is. Sometimes it is not a spiritual attack but a natural cause that needs to be dealt with. Many times the HOLY SPIRIT has lead me to cures that have helped immensely.
10) IF you experience a sharp pain somewhere on your body that is unfamiliar and comes quickly....this might be a dart of the enemy! It is 'pulled out' by rebuking it in the name of the LORD JESUS and telling it to flee permanently.
"above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one." Ephesians 6:16
11) THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE! Always remember to follow up any spiritual warfare with thanking the LORD through prayer, songs and praises!! This will 'seal the deal' in the spirit! Sometimes it takes more than one time to get results! So don't get discouraged! The FATHER knows what you need and HE is allowing this testing for a purpose! Just be faithful to fight the good fight with faith and endurance!
12) GODS WORD HEALS: Derek Prince wrote a book called GOD WORD HEALS that I would highly recommend. It talks in depth about many of the principles that I have outlined in this article. I consider Derek Prince my 'spiritual dad,' as he has taught me many 'treasures and nuggets' that are in the WORD.
