MESSAGE: (received on 7/10/22)
"MY people are sleepy, and some are even comatose. Just like the unsaved, they just go on with their daily lives, of understanding the times that are in.
THIS IS THE TIME for them to come ever so close to ME....in prayer, fasting, repentance and worship.
THIS IS THE TIME they should be drawing near on bended knee.
THIS IS THE TIME they should go to the next level spiritually, and seek the Gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Seek MY POWER from above, and it shall come. Labor for it, and desire it will all your heart. It comes with sincerity and prayer. It comes with the laying of hands.
It comes to those who are awake, and looking for it.
It is a HIDDEN TREASURE found through the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.
REPENT and be baptized in MY SPIRIT!
This is the beginning of walking in MY power. I will bring fire down from heaven, and revival will come upon MY CHURCH. This will come during times of persecution. Persecution only strengthens the BODY OF MY CHURCH! It will be the fuel to the coming fires!!!"
"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38
ARE YOU BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT?
What is the SECRET to living a VICTORIOUS LIFE as a Christian? Walking in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT! This can be done through receiving the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
ANOINTED:
After the day of Pentecost, the word 'anointed' took on an entirely new meaning. It referred to Christians who were now infused with the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT. In the verse below, we see how JESUS was 'anointed' to do miracles:
"How God ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Acts 10:38
This same 'anointing' brings 'DUNAMIS' POWER' (dynamis) which is available to HIS followers. In Greek, this 'POWER' means "mighty work, strength, miracles, power, ability, and virtue." This power is given to display GOD's glory, as it is poured out for the use of miracles, being HIS witnesses, and being in HIS presence!!
“But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
This can come by being BAPTIZED in the HOLY SPIRIT. I am not talking about the Sacrament of 'Baptism with water.' I am talking about the ‘anointing power’ that comes as an actual event. I believe that the HOLY SPIRIT comes to help us do SUPERNATURAL work for our LORD as witnesses here on the earth. This includes the ministries of prophecy and healing.
Many Christians do not fully understand this concept..... and many don’t even think it is Biblical. However, I can assure you that it is REAL and it is BIBLICAL!
For each person, this 'event,' is a specific different, and unique experience that comes with different results. For me, it happened many, many years after I became a Christian. I knew that I had the HOLY SPIRIT that comes to live in us at the time of salvation.....but I did not have yet the 'anointing.'
In my spirit, I KNEW that there was something more to my spiritual life. I felt unsatisfied, and longed to see GOD's power working in my life. It was then that I started actively seeking this 'power' that was so lacking in my daily walk. As the desire grew and grew.....I actually felt like that deer, in the Book of Psalms, that 'pants for the water!' (Psalms 42:1) Then the LORD directed my path to a ministry that 'laid hands,' and I received the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT.
BAPTISM OF WATER vs. BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT// LAYING OF HANDS:
Lets examine a few Scriptures from the Book of Acts that will help understand further the BAPTISM of the HOLY SPIRIT:
“Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:15-17
This is a really good passage showing the difference between 'water baptism' and ''HOLY SPIRIT baptism. They had received baptism, but not the filling of the HOLY SPIRIT.
How did they receive the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT? By the laying of hands. This is definitively the most common way to receive it....though it is not the only way. Many, upon seeking it, in the quietness of their own home, have received it..... while others actually have received it at the time of their salvation or during water baptism.
Again, here is another great passage shows there are two baptisms, and that one comes with the laying of hands:
“he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”
And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”
Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” Acts 19:2-6
This passage talks about John’s baptism with water, which Paul called he ''Baptism of Repentance." However, JESUS’s baptism comes with FIRE and POWER! Notice that after Paul had laid his hands on them, they started to speak in tongues and prophesied!
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11
A SIGN:
What is one of the SIGNS that you have been baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT? The MAIN SIGN is that you will SPEAK IN TONGUES, or receive another SUPERNATURAL gift of the SPIRIT:
“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4
"When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” Acts 19:6
BE BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Do you long for, and desire for more SUPERNATURAL POWER in your walk with the LORD JESUS? The LORD knows your heart, and knows what you are yearning for. HE will give you the desires of your heart, as long as it aligns with HIS will for you!
HE is a GOOD and GRACIOUS FATHER who gives GOOD GIFTS to HIS children!
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”Luke 11:13
SAMPLE PRAYER:
HERE is a SAMPLE prayer that you can use as an outline for asking for the Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT. Please do not get discouraged, or turned away, if nothing happens right away. If you are seeking for this baptism, the LORD will guide and direct you on how, and when, you are to receive it. We must remember that our ways are not HIS!
"Heavenly Father, I come today in total repentance of all my sins, and seek to know YOU in a greater measure. I seek and ask for YOU to impart to me the gifts of the SPIRIT, as YOU so desire. I am humbling myself before YOU, submitting myself, and yielding myself, in total obedience to YOU only. In doing so, I ask for YOU to baptism me in the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT to receive your anointing gifts for the use of the YOUR KINGDOM.
Come HOLY SPIRIT, by FAITH, I ask YOU to fill me to overflowing, and let me received the gift of tongues as a sign of YOUR anointing. I desire and long to be immersed, and baptized by YOUR HOLY SPIRIT.
I wait upon YOU, and ask that you further lead, and guide me into YOUR DUNAMIS POWER for GOD's Glory alone!!
I ask and pray this is the PRECIOUS NAME OF THE LORD JESUS. AMEN"
