PROPHETIC WARNINGS: Fortune-telling; Horoscopes; Christmas; EMP

On October 9th, I received a few things from the LORD while sleeping.

I awoke to these words:

1) Cleanse yourself from all unrighteousness and wickedness
2) Do a purging: purge all horoscope stuff out
3) (They are) looking to ungodly things to tell the future

I then saw a dream vision:

I saw a rusty old metal pole that had a very rusty thick chain around it. Then I saw the chain being cut in two and fall off the metal pole.

INTERPRETATION:

Many of the LORD’s people are being held in captivity without even knowing it. They have become RUSTY and unusable to the LORD, because they are bound by false teachings, ideologies, false prophecies, and false prophets. The LORD has called us to be set FREE (John 8:36) and not let the 'chains of captivity' come upon us through false beliefs, teachings and prophecies.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” Isaiah 61:1

Horoscopes tell the future, and are done through familiar, demonic spirits that lead unbelievers astray and down the wrong path. Christians are not to participate in anything that has to do with the occult or horoscopes.....HOWEVER, there is now a form of this in the churches and with the false prophets.

There are people in the churches that are giving out false prophecies through fortune- telling and not through the HOLY SPIRIT. They long to look into your personal future and tell you what your destiny is going to be. This is very much like reading your horoscope so you can know what your personal tomorrow brings you.

This is also called "DIVINATION" and is spoken of in the Bible.

"DIVINATION" means:

“the art or practice that seeks to foresee or foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge usually by the interpretation of omens or by the aid of supernatural powers” (Webster Dictionary)

It is the practice of fortune-telling, casting spells, astrology, witchcraft, necromancy, and the use of tarot cards. The spirits that are used are demonic and evil, though they can pose as an ‘angel of light’ in the church by hiding with Christian over-tones.

Two places that I have seen this happen personally in the Church is through the use of Christian tarot cards and through fortune-telling using the disguise of prophecy.

There are a lot of ‘prophets’ giving out personal prophecies to people, which is a form of fortune-telling. That is why we must TEST THE SPIRITS, so we can be sure that the that the spiritual gifts that are being displayed are from the HOLY SPIRIT and not from evil/familiar spirits.

We can actually see this kind of fortune-telling using divination in the Bible with what happened with the Book of Acts 16:16-18:

"And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour."

In the above passage, we can see that this girl, who is telling peoples fortunes, was doing so with the help of a demonic spirit instead of the HOLY SPIRIT. Paul was able to discern the difference and casted this evil spirit out! This event should show us that we need to be careful who we receive and listen to so-called ‘prophecies’ from!

Jeremiah says that these kinds of prophets are not from HIM.....so we need to be CAUTIOUS and CAREFUL who we allow to prophesy over us!

“And the LORD said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.” Jeremiah 14:14

The LORD calls HIS children to be WISE AS SERPENTS!!! We are not seek things that are detestable to the LORD, but only HOLY things! Do NOT get caught up with any form DIVINATION.....but seek the HOLY SPIRIT INSTEAD!!

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 18:10-13

Thank you so much for standing up to speak against personal predictions!

When personal prophecies were given at our church years ago, I'd squirm into a corner so I wouldn't be chosen -- I was there for worship team, and felt uncomfortable with "popcorn prophecy" speakers. But at the time, no members considered it unscriptural (or narcissistic). It wasn't until recently that I realized I needed to repent of participating in those services.

A natural reaction is "not that way at my church," but like cult members, we succumb to gradual transformation of beliefs when in a group for a long time.

Fortune-telling is rarely titled negatively in fellowships.

Look at how many in cult members insist they are practicing…
