wilderness: places of refuge

Last night, May 18th, 2018, the LORD revealed some amazing things to me, much like a download. I know when the LORD is truly showing me something, because I have the HOLY SPIRIT come upon me in such a traumatic way, which brings tears of sorrow as well as joy. It is hard to explain, but real, none-the-less.

The 'download' was concerning Revelation 12, verses 6 and 14:

"Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days."

"But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent."

The woman represents GOD's CHOSEN PEOPLE. Many believe that the 'wilderness' in the above verses refer to Petra in Jordan, and that is where the Jews will flee when the abomination of desolation occurs. (Matthew 24:15-22) While this could be true, the BIBLE is multi-layered and contains mystery upon mystery woven into each verse! The mystery unraveled that the LORD revealed to me, is that the 'wilderness' were the woman flees to, are the 'places of refuge'.....the safe havens provided by the LORD!

HE then led me to do a 'word study' on 'wilderness' in the BIBLE. What HE showed me is that the LORD is going to lead HIS remnant, BOTH Jew and Christian to a 'safe zone' once the three and half year GREAT TRIBULATION starts! Since I have not been shown when the rapture occurs, I don't know if this refers to just the' tribulation saints' or not. However, I know that it especially concerns the people in America and Israel!

These 'wilderness' places will be similar to the wilderness experience that the Israelites' went through with Moses. It was there that they were fed supernaturally with manna from heaven, as well as supernatural water and food. They were led, by the presence of the LORD, through a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud. They were also supernaturally protected, though many died because of their unbelief and rebellion.

As I studied the Bible verses about the 'wilderness,' I found out what the LORD will be providing and doing for HIS CHOSEN people during these 'end times.' The verses supporting this list are at the end of the article and well worth reading!

THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE (places of refuge and safe havens):

--there will be a covenant of peace between GOD and HIS people

--wild beasts will cease from the land

--they will dwell safely in the wilderness

--they will be a blessing

--they shall have fruit trees

--they will be delivered from those who tried to enslave them

--they no longer will be 'prey for the nations'

--they will not go hungry

--the LORD will be with them

--HE will break the heads of Leviathan into pieces

--HE will led them with a cloud by day and fire by night

--Water will flow abundantly

--HE will be their shepherd and guide them

--the wilderness and desert will turn into a garden like Eden

--there will be justice, righteousness and peace

--there will be secure housing

These 'safe zones' that the LORD is setting up now will be supernaturally cared for by the very hand of GOD! Though we don't know HIS timing, we know HIS leading and provision!

The LORD is doing some mighty things now as HIS SPIRIT is falling on HIS people in a mighty way! We praise HIM for HIS faithfulness, love and long suffering, as we enter into these very last days of the end of time as we know it!

SCRIPTURE:

“I will make a covenant of peace with them, and cause wild beasts to cease from the land; and they will dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing. Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them. And they shall no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid. "You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness." Psalms 74:14

In the daytime also He led them with the cloud, And all the night with a light of fire. He split the rocks in the wilderness, And gave them drink in abundance like the depths. He also brought streams out of the rock, And caused waters to run down like rivers.Psalms 78:14-15

"But He made His own people go forth like sheep, And guided them in the wilderness like a flock; And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; But the sea overwhelmed their enemies." Psalms 78:52-53

"For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.' Isaiah 51:3

"Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places, Though hail comes down on the forest, And the city is brought low in humiliation." Isaiah 32:16-19

"Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him, And His enemies will lick the dust." Psalms 72:9

"Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19

These safe zones will be places of refuge protected by the LORD
