In our little country in Africa, I have watched as south of us, and west of us, those countries have changed their legislation to embrace LGBTQ. And I have watched as the countries north of us embrace Islam and persecute Christians. I felt so burdened by this and I was praying for God to protect our little nation from these things. He changed my prayer by telling me this, and it is not just a message for Africa. I believe it to be just as applicable for all Christians everywhere. He said: "You do not fight these things by asking to be hidden from them or protected from them. You do not fight these things in a court of law. You fight these things by getting out there and doing what you have been called to do - one heart at a time. What is coming will come upon the face of the whole earth. But earthly laws will be redundant to people who are abiding in me." Then, a couple of days ago, he said something that relates to this first message. I was praying about something and I was saying, "God, it's hard sometimes to hear you. The disciples had it easier, they saw you in the flesh, they walked with you and talked with you and you had a physical body for them to communicate with, but you don't have that anymore------" He interrupted me right there and he said, "I have a physical body." Wow. We call ourselves the body of Christ, but when He said it, it was so different. I just fell silent and tried to absorb the magnitude of what he had just said. Have we become the generation who has a form of godliness but denies its power? We are only scratching the surface of understanding the power of believing and abiding in him. The narrow road is narrower than some of us think it is, but if we walk in it, we will see him accomplish impossible things, through us. I hope these messages encourage us to be bold and fearless, and to fear the living God above all else.
