I'd like to share a couple stories relating to angels.
I lived in South Korea at the time, and was having dinner with a Korean friend, and she shared a story with me and another person there. She was trying to decide if she should go to school further and study theology, but it would cost a lot of money and she was worried about the financial burden it would be to her parents. One day, she took the bus or tram, and a mom was talking to her young son, explaining to him that she cared a lot for him and wanted the best for him, so she would pay for his school. My friend was naturally interested in the conversation and listened, and the words spoken were just what she needed to hear from God. The mom smiled at her as she got up to leave the bus or tram, and said "See you again" like it was the most natural thing in the world.
My last week in South Korea, I was stressed and had to repair some things in my apartment before I would take a quick trip to visit someone. I had to fix the caulk on a window sill, pack everything, take the trip, go back to Seoul, and then I would fly out. So in my hurry I decided to take a taxi for a very short distance. Normally taxi drivers are quiet and don't speak to the passenger except for basics. This taxi driver was so nice, spoke to me in perfect English, and I remember he asked me about my church. I was surprised by that, and we had a short, relaxed conversation. As I got out to leave, he said, "See you again". I looked quickly at him to check his eyes but he was already pulling away.
And another story, more obvious. I was with a group of students traveling from one European country to another, and we got stuck at the border because a student from Iran had forgot his visa to reenter the country. He was detained in a prison cell for hours. It was getting late, and so far the authorities had said they would either keep him in the cell or fly him back to Iran, which was a bad solution for him. It was getting late into the evening, so the teachers decided 2 of the 3 vehicles would transport some students home, and the last vehicle would remain with the student and some of his friends who volunteered to stay behind. In a last ditch effort, we gathered to pray for him. Being emboldened by the desperate situation, I prayed out loud for God to send angels to help us.
Not longer than 30 minutes later an "officer" from another station arrived, an officer from the country detaining the student, and spoke with the men there, convincing them to let the boy out. As we began turning the vehicles on to drive home, one chaperone realized he had left the lights on all day and the battery of the van had died! I was so happy the boy was released I prayed again to God that this van would miraculously start. As I stood looking at the vehicles, this same "officer" came up to me and asked if everything was all right. "Yes, but this van won't start," I said, and he walked off to check it out. And then, yes, the van was able to rev up and start soon afterwards!! It was a mad dash to get out of there as everyone was excited. I didn't have time to look for the angel and say thank you. I asked several teachers about him later, and one said he had talked to him, and the officer had asked for the leader to pray for him. Another special thing after that...the young man who had been detained had given me a very hard time all year, and he apologized to me as we sat and ate McDonald's later that night. I had never seen him so humbled, and perhaps aware that he had witnessed a small miracle carried out on his behalf.
I was mostly sharing stories of possible physical manifestation of angels. It's true demons can do the same as they can, but they usually cause fear and chaos and angels are there to bring the peace of God or help from God usually. I was just hoping a few people might share their stories.
